SALIENT FEATURES OF KVs: 1. Co-educational institution with common and uniform syllabus and pattern of education. 2. Imparting value based quality education in the role of pacesetter. 3. Promoting national integration and making the pupils successful citizens with all round accomplishments in career and character. 4. Medium of education is English and Hindi with the aim of achieving bilingual proficiency of each child. 5. Preparing students for AISSE (Class X) and AISSE (Class XII) of CBSE.
ACADEMIC FUNCTIONING: The curriculum as well as the mode of teaching is activity oriented that helps in attaining the pupils self expression, innovation, competency, skill and concept formulation in different academic areas with a dedicated team of highly qualified, trained and experienced teachers and conductive teacher-taught ration, the teaching learning activities are always learners centered, participatory and interactive in approach, where teachers act as facilitators, planners, guides and resource persons.
FRESH-ADMISSION GUIDELINE & SCHEDULE IN BRIEF: There are Seven priority Categories for fresh admissions in order of preference . The defence personnel including Ex Servicemen & Central Govt. Emplolyees with transfers during last Seven years up to 31st March every year will get 1st priority. However, registratrion for fresh admission is open to all though it is subject to parents’ priority category, vacancy position, passing the Admission Test (Class II to IX) and other rules of KVS admission guide line.
CLASS I: 1.There will be no admission test for class I. 2. Sale of Registration forms and Registration for fresh admission. 1st January to 20th March. 3. Cost of Registration form with brouchure: Rs. 50/- 4. Last date for submission of duly furnished Registration forms 20th March. 5.Age Limit: For fresh admission to class I the child should attain 5 to 7 years of age and so on and forth increasingly for each successive class as on 1st April . 6.Display of 1st List for Admission: 31st March.
CLASS II ONWARDS 1. Admission test will be held in the last week of March 2005 in the following subjects: 2. Class II to V: English, Hindi and Maths. 3. Middle Classes: English, Hindi and Mathematics and General Knowledge. 4. Class IX: English, Hindi, mtrhs, SST and Science. 5. Class XI: Registration will be open up to 15 days oafter the publication fo class X result. 6. Children having 80% or more marks in aggregate in class x exam will be admitted over and above the class strength. 7. For further details please contact the office of the Vidyalaya.
RESERVATION FOR FRESH ADMISSION: 1. 15% seats are for Scheduled Cast. 2. 7 ½ % setats are Scheduled Tribe. 3. 3% seats are for horizontally reserved for physically handicapped.
CAREER GUIDANCE & COUNSELLING: We also provide meticulous & for sighted guidance and counseling to our pupils for different competitive examinations and career options.
EXAMINATION SYSTEM: The Vidyalaya follows continuous and comprehensive evaluation system for complete and reliable assessment of a child under the guidance and directive of KVS & CBSE. ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE: The result of this Vidyalaya has been excellent in both X and XII Board examinations in the previous years. We are ambitious of better performance in pass percentage and performance index (Quantity and Quality) in the coming years.
PRIMARY EDUCATION: To begin with, the children of class-I are made to go through a “School Readiness Programme” lasting “4-6 weeks” to familiarize them with formal education. The children are taught through the play-way method and learning through doing in joyful learning experience. Stress is given on developing their concept in different learning areas to make them self sufficient and innovative. The Annual progress is based on grades for class I to V.
SCIENCE & COMPUTER LABORATORIES: The School has well maintained Maths, Lab, Junior Science Lab and Laboratories in PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY AND BIOLOGY facilities, where students of higher secondary, secondary and middle classes observe, explore and experiment. The Vidyalaya has a fully functional computer laboratory and multi media system. LIBRARY: The temple of knowledge and wisdom is well equipped with the latest text-books, reference books, journals and periodicals and books of varied disciplines for different age groups. As an academic resource center it provides a conductive atmosphere to inculcate good reading habits.
GAMES, SPORTS AND ADVENTUROUS ACTIVITIES: We provide ample opportunities to the students in different indoor and outdoor games through inter-school competitions and inter school competition, Annual Sports-day. KVS Regional Meets, National Meets and SGFI. Sports talents among the students are carefully identified and nurtured. P.T. and Yoga are the integral parts of our sports and games. Our motto is to make the pupils physically and mentally fit. They also participate in adventurous activities like mountaineering, trekking, parasailing and desert Safari.
SCOUTS, GUIDES, CUBS AND BULBULS: To inculcate the sense of ethical values, discipline, moral courage patriotism, fellow feeling, unity and positive attitude in life, the students of the school are encouraged to take part in Scout and Gude,Cubs and Bulbul activities at school State and National level. |
